Antique “Let Freedom Ring” Cast Iron Bookends – c. 1925 American Historical Design
This listing is for a set of antique “Let Freedom Ring” cast iron bookends, dating to approximately 1925. These pieces are highly collectible for their strong American historical theme and detailed relief work.
Each bookend features a raised relief scene of four seated figures gathered around a table, widely interpreted as the Founding Fathers, with the Liberty Bell and American flags displayed above them. The imagery reflects early 20th-century patriotic design, popular during the post–World War I era.
The bookends are made of solid cast iron, originally finished with a copper or bronze-toned plating, traces of which may still be visible depending on lighting and angle.
Condition:
Authentic antique condition consistent with age and use. The felt on the bottom is deteriorating, which is common for bookends of this era. Surface wear, patina variation, and minor finish loss are present. No cracks or structural damage noted. Please refer to the photos included in the listing, as they are considered part of the description.
