This is a vintage 1930s half-gallon amber glass beer jug from the Spokane Brewing & Malting Co. of Spokane, Washington, featuring the historic Gilt Top Pasteurized Beer brand.

Gilt Top was an important Spokane beer brand, and historical records document the brewery advertising and promoting Gilt Top during the 1930s. A 1936 Spokane newspaper advertisement promoted the “New Gilt Top,” while the brewery’s historic record shows Gilt Top was part of Spokane’s brewing history following the repeal of Prohibition.
