Believed to have been made in Japan during the mid-20th century (circa 1940s–1960s), this lovely vintage set features two ruby-red glass strawberries with raised seed detailing, each suspended from an ornate silver-tone metal stand. The stand features an elegant vine and leaf design with a decorative pedestal base.

Each strawberry is removable and features a silver-tone metal leaf-shaped shaker top with dispensing holes.

One of the most interesting features of this vintage set is the beautiful yellow-orange fluorescence visible under black light (UV lighting).

The glow is concentrated primarily in the bottom half of each strawberry, while the upper portions remain predominantly red.

This distinctive reaction is consistent with cadmium-containing glass, which is known for its yellow, orange, and sometimes greenish fluorescence under UV lighting.
