Vintage Scottish Terrier Cast Iron Bookends – c. 1929
Pair of vintage cast iron Scottish Terrier (Scottie Dog) bookends, attributed to the Connecticut Foundry, circa 1929. Each features a detailed Scottie dog posed in front of a house, a classic and highly collectible early 20th-century design.
Finished in a bronze to brushed copper–toned patina with natural age-related wear. These bookends are solid and heavy, weighing approximately 3.6–4 lbs for the pair, ideal for holding books securely.
Condition: Good vintage condition. One bookend is missing the felt on the bottom. Surface wear and patina variation consistent with age. Please see photos for details.
A great set for dog lovers, Scottie owners, or vintage cast iron collectors.
